Bible Reading:
Job 29, Luke 19, Psalm 121
Passages that arrested me:

Job's words:
[14] I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my justice was like a robe and a turban. https://bible.com/bible/59/job.29.14.ESV
Luke 19:27 ESV
The nobleman in Jesus' Parable of 10 Minas
[27] But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’” https://bible.com/bible/59/luk.19.27.ESV
Psalm 121:1-2 ESV
A Psalmist - Song of Ascents
[1] I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? [2] My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. https://bible.com/bible/59/psa.121.1-2.ESV
Maker, Clother, Unmaker, Judge
There is a line that is crossed only with great difficulty. It is the line between what I think I know to be quite true and what is actually true.
For instance, what I think I know to be true is that the lyrics to Mr. Roger's theme song is, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood." But what is actually true is, "It's a beautiful day in THIS neighborhood."
It's hard to accept that I have carried around a wrong perception for a very long time of what is actually true.
What is actually true is that the Creator of everything, heaven, earth, and all other things, concerns Himself over my need, is near when I look, and helps even before I call. I am not the solutioner. God is.
What is actually true is that my best clothes, my very finest, are a lifestyle of righteousness, of living justice.
What is actually true is that I hated the Nobleman. I wanted nothing to do with the Nobleman. My deepest desire was that the Nobleman's presence, the Nobleman's very existence, would be erased, would no longer plague me in any way. That I might be completely free of anything and everything to do with the Nobleman.
What is actually true is that the Nobleman in Jesus' parable granted what his enemies desired.
What is true justice? What is true righteousness? Is help what I think it should be, or might it be something other than what I'm convinced I need?
The line is drawn. Will I be able to step over?
